GI Department offers various operational services including common open surgery, laparoscopy (especially robot-aided laparoscopy) to minimize the invasive action at patients' gastrointestinal tracts (e.g. esophagus, stomach, intestines, colon, etc.).
- Esophageal and stomach surgeries:
Treatment of esophageal illnesses: cancer, diverticulitis, benign tumor, achalasia
Treatment of gastric cancer: partial/total gastrectomy, lymph nodes removal
Treatment of pyloric stenosis caused by cancer/ulcer
Treatment of diaphragmatic hernia
- Colon surgeries:
- Robot-assisted laparoscopy, standard endoscopy, and open surgery for partial colectomy caused by cancer.
- Standard laparoscopy or open surgery for total colectomy.
- Anal and rectal surgeries:
- Hemorrhoid laser procedure, stapled hemorrhoidopexy (Longo's procedure), etc.
- Treatment of chronic anal fissures, anal leakage, anal stenosis, anal abscess, rectal prolapse
- Treatment of rectal and anal cancer.
- Laparoscopic surgery for hernia: to treat types of hernia: inguinal hernia, hiatal hernia, diaphragmatic hernia...
- Laparoscopic surgery for obesity.
